Injured Biker Rescued From Lime Ridge Open Space

Contra Costa County firefighters rescued the injured mountain biker on Thursday.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — an injured mountain biker was rescued from Lime Ridge Open Space on Thursday, according to Contra Costa County Fire. An update on the biker's condition is not available.

It took a major response from the fire department including firefighters from stations 10, 22 and 11 along with Battalion 2, Training Captain 10 and ConAir 2 because of the hard-to-reach location of the rescue.

Firefighters used a 4-wheel drive off-road utility vehicle to reach the biker.
