Lindsay Wildlife Experience Announces New Development Director

Lindsay Wildlife Experience has announced the appointment of Julie Clemens as its new development director. Clemens brings more than 20 years of fundraising experience, most recently as Chief Advancement Officer at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley.

Clemens has spent her career working in the Bay Area’s independent school sector, raising needed resources for scholarship and capital projects impacting an entire generation of students. For the first time, Clemens is bringing her wealth of fundraising knowledge to the cause of connecting people with wildlife.

“Joining the Lindsay family is a dream come true,” said Clemens. “I am thrilled to be putting my energies towards the betterment of our environment, saving animals, and educating the future stewards of our planet.”

Clemens will be an integral part of helping to fulfill Lindsay’s strategic vision: Securing a sustainable revenue stream to ensure the rehabilitation and protection of wildlife, heading Lindsay’s two major annual fundraisers and overseeing Lindsay’s annual fund.

“I am thrilled that Julie has chosen to join Lindsay,” said Lindsay Executive Director Cheryl McCormick. “Her extensive fundraising experience, collaborative leadership, and enthusiasm for connecting individuals with a passion for wildlife and nature will deepen Lindsay’s connection to the community and broaden its social impact. We’re fortunate to have her as part of the Lindsay team.”

A perfect fit as Clemens calls herself an animal person. A more than 20 year resident of the East Bay, she has worked to control feral cat colony populations, fostered dogs and cats, and over the years has had companion animals of nearly every pet species allowed by law.

Clemens will begin at Lindsay Nov. 14.
