Man Killed In Walnut Creek Crash Identified
He died Wednesday morning when his vehicle suddenly veered into a guardrail.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A man who died in a crash on an on-ramp to northbound Interstate Highway 680 in Walnut Creek on Wednesday morning has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office as 29-year-old William Kibalama.
Kibalama, a resident of the Winnetka neighborhood of Los Angeles, died in a crash reported at 10:09 a.m. in the area of the North Main Street on-ramp to northbound Highway 680, according to the California Highway
Patrol.
Kibalama was driving a vehicle when, for reasons yet to be determined, he reportedly veered right and struck a guardrail, CHP officials said.

He was pronounced dead while a 28-year-old Pittsburg man in a passenger seat suffered minor injuries. He was taken to a hospital but is expected to survive, according to the CHP.
The crash prompted lane closures until shortly after 11 a.m.
