Meals on Wheels Diablo Region is pleased to announce that our website has been improved! We have added a new widget that allows website visitors with disabilities to have better access to our site, making it compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

MOW Diablo Region wants to ensure that our website is accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances. By clicking on the person in the blue circle at the bottom right of the screen, users will be provided with options that allow them to better experience our website.

Profile options include: “Seizure Safe,” which eliminates flashes and reduces color; “Vision Impaired,” which enhances the website’s visuals; “Cognitive Disability” assists with reading and focusing; “ADHD Friendly” allows for more focus and fewer distractions; “Blind Users” allows visually impaired to read the website with their screen reader; “Keyboard Navigation” allows users to use the website with a keyboard; and an array of other adjustments as well.

“Since our we serve seniors and adults with disabilities, we felt it was essential to add this new feature,” says Caitlin Sly, Executive Director. “Giving people greater access to our website allows everyone to be better informed about our commitment to delivering meals and services that they may need.”
