Pedestrian Killed On I-680

WALNUT CREEK, CA — The California Highway Patrol Saturday morning reported a fatal collision involving a pedestrian on northbound Interstate Highway 680 near Walnut Creek.

The collision, which was first reported at 12:59 a.m., occurred on the highway just south of the Treat Boulevard off-ramp, according to the CHP.

The incident briefly shut down all northbound lanes of traffic, and a Sig-alert was issued.
