Pedestrian Killed On I-680 In Walnut Creek Identified
The deadly collision Monday night forced a sig-alert as the CHP investigated the crash.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A pedestrian killed on I-680 in Walnut Creek Monday night has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office as 42-year-old Lafayette resident Rebecca Pulling.
A worker in a highway construction zone had reported to the CHP that a pedestrian was walking on the highway. She was struck in the No. 4 southbound lane by a Chrysler Sebring and died at the scene.
It is not known why Pulling was walking on the freeway.

All southbound lanes were closed for a few hours as the crash was investigated, with traffic exiting at Treat Boulevard.
A Sig-alert was issued at 10:49 p.m. Monday and was canceled around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
