Plant Sales Return to The Gardens at Heather Farm
Garden lovers can enjoy five in-person Saturday Plant Sales at Walnut Creek's Gardens at Heather Farm starting April 3
After a year-long pandemic-induced break, The Gardens at Heather Farm is thrilled to welcome the community back for a series of on-site, in-person plant sales starting Saturday, April 3. Local gardeners know the unique plant selection, propagated by a team of volunteers and grown on-site at The Gardens’ nursery facilities (now known as “The GHF Plant Shop”), cannot be matched at most standard commercial garden retailers. Shoppers at this Saturday's Plant Sale will get priority access to the new spring inventory, which includes sunflowers, petunias, salvias, peppers, tomatoes and zucchini!
In addition to in-person sales on the first Saturday of the month from April through October, The GHF Plant Shop will continue to sell plants online. Customers can browse the online catalog, purchase plants for each growing season and schedule a convenient curbside pick-up.
Annual Plant Sales have been an important fundraising activity for the nonprofit organization that runs The Gardens at Heather Farm -- a free, public garden, education center and event venue -- since the 1970s. Proceeds from the event support the ongoing maintenance and management of the facility and its nonprofit programs.
