Rain, Wind In East Bay | Snow On Diablo Range: NWS
The storm heading our way is cold and packs a wallop, the National Weather Service warns. It arrives today.
EAST BAY — Just in time for Thanksgiving, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the East Bay Hills and Diablo Range, starting at 4 p.m. Tuesday, and is warning that snow may fall on the Diablo Range from Tuesday night through Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, the entire area is expected to pick up between a half inch and 1.5 inches of rain as a powerful storm ends our dry spell that's settled over northern California for months.
Heading to the Sierra? Take chains and lots of patience.
