Scorching Temps As NWS Issues Heat Advisory For Thursday

It was 80 degrees on Mount Diablo at 7 a.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service, a foreshadowing of what's in store for the East Bay today.

The NWS has issued a Heat Advisory for the San Francisco Bay Area through 8 p.m. tonight. Temperatures will soar to over 100 degrees in the interior East Bay.

The good news is that the heat wave breaks tonight. Friday's temps will be 5 to 10 degrees cooler.
