Steph Curry, Diddy Want In On Carolina Panthers Purchase

The two want to purchase the NFL team and hire Colin Kaepernick.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry wants a piece of the Carolina Panthers. The Walnut Creek resident made the announcement on Twitter after Panthers' owner Jerry Richardson said on Sunday that he plans to sell the NFL team.

Richardson made the announcement after Sports Illustrated published an article about sexual harassment within the team's office.

"I want in!" Curry said on Twitter, in response to Diddy who tweeted "I would like to buy the @Panthers. Spread the word. Retweet!"

Diddy, who said he wants to put Colin Kaepernick back in the NFL, elaborated on his thoughts on Instagram.

"I will be the best NFL owner that you can imagine," Diddy wrote. "I will immediately address the Colin Kaepernick situation and put him in the running for next year's starting quarterback. It's just competition, baby! It's just competition."

Kaepernick has been without a job since leaving the San Francisco 49ers. Fans of the quarterback say NFL owners refuse to hire him because he protested against police corruption by kneeling during the national anthem at games.

So, is it possible that Curry and Diddy could own a piece of the Panthers?

Well, they are not on Forbes top 12 list of possible new owners. Forbes magazine predicted on Monday that possible buyers could be current owners Belk Family, Levin Family or Steve and Jerry Wordsworth. Other possible buyers could be Michael Jordan, Joe Gibbs and Mark Cuban, Forbes reported.
