During Active Aging Week, 24 Hour Fitness is offering free activities celebrating healthy living, including low-impact pool and step classes

WALNUT CREEK, CA -- Bay-Area based fitness brand 24 Hour Fitness is hosting several initiatives during Active Aging Week, which is from Sept. 30 - Oct. 7.
The fitness chain is looking to spread the word about the growth and influence of the older population as they take more ownership of their health and well being.
"This event signals a renewed attitude towards leading a fit and healthy life as we age," 24 Hour Fitness Group X Senior Director Micki Stary said. "The importance of socialization and developing healthy habits as we age is key, and 24 Hour Fitness is pulling out all the stops to offer talented resources, stimulating programs, challenging workouts, and lots of energy and fun to help tell this important story and celebrate Active Aging Week in the Bay Area."

During the week, 24 Hour Fitness clubs nationwide will offer free activities celebrating healthy living, including low-impact pool and step classes, high-energy dance classes, Zumba Gold, gentle yoga, SilverSneakers and more.
