The Contra Costa Community College District trustee died unexpectedly while attending a convention in New Orleans.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Walnut Creek attorney John T. Nejedly’s death has been ruled accidental, coroner’s officials said Tuesday. Orleans Parish Coroner spokesperson Jason Melancon said toxicology results show Nejedly died due to "multiple drug intoxication."

Nejedly was in New Orleans for the Association of Community College Trustees convention when he died unexpectedly in October of 2016. Officials quickly completed the autopsy and have been waiting for toxicology results since.
