WALNUT CREEK, CA — Several local residents who have received a coronavirus vaccine in Walnut Creek report having a positive experience. The clinic is operated by Contra Costa Health Services at Diablo Valley College (DVC).

The clinic is “Well run,” Susan Simkins said in a Walnut Creek Patch Neighbor Posts discussion.

Here’s how Simkins described the clinic, “They told us all to wait in car until appointment time, then you get in short line. Once inside, they verify ID (license) and insurance (medicare) and line is outside awaiting actual shot which takes place in cubicle, inside building. Gentle, quick. Then go to another building where you sit, set own timer for 15 min., wipe down chair and leave! Got message re: second shot right away EXCEPT no times available. Oh, well, they will eventually be there for us! Arm is fine, got Pfizer.”
