Walnut Creek Crash Victim ID'd
The driver of another vehicle was arrested on charges of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A 45-year-old man killed in a four-car collision allegedly caused by a drunk driver in Walnut Creek last week was identified as Hector Garza, the Contra Costa County coroner's office said.
Garza, a resident of Walnut Creek, was driving on South Broadway near Interstate Highway 680 at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday when the crash happened, police said.
A car driven by a suspected drunken driver, 35-year-old Jessica Martin of Tennessee, collided with Garza's car and two other vehicles traveling in the opposite direction, police said.

Martin suffered moderate injuries and was taken to John Muir Medical Center, where she was later arrested. A passenger in her car also suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized, according to police.
A young child in Garza's car suffered major injuries and was hospitalized. Updated information on the child's condition was not available today.

The driver of another vehicle had to be extricated by firefighters and was taken to a hospital with major injuries, and the driver of another car suffered minor injuries and was also hospitalized, police said.
