Walnut Creek To Host Free Tdap Vaccination Clinics This Summer
The county will offer vaccinations for COVID-19 and tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis at schools. Tdap is required for seventh graders.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — Contra Costa Health Services will offer COVID-19 vaccines and the Tdap vaccine for tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis this summer in Walnut Creek at school vaccination clinics.
The free Tdap vaccine will now be offered by request at a series of on-campus COVID-19 vaccination clinics planned across the county in weeks to come. The COVID-19 vaccine is available to anyone 12 or older.
“With school-age students and their families now visiting our COVID-19 vaccination clinics at campuses around the county, now is the time to get ready for fall and make sure all of your required school immunizations are up to date,” said Dr. Chris Farnitano, Contra Costa County’s health officer, in a news release.
