BART will run a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day but will have extra-long trains for the expected crowds of shoppers on what's become known as Black Friday.

- City Hall - Closed Thursday and Friday
- Walnut Creek School District: Parent/teacher conferences on Monday and Tuesday. No classes any day this week
- Mt. Diablo Unified School District: No classes this week
- Las Lomas High School: No classes this week

Thanksgiving Day in a national holiday, and post offices and federal offices will be closed. Friday is not a U.S. government holiday, though some offices may reduce hours of service that day.
Department of Motor Vehicles
DMV offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.
BARTBARTÂ will operate on a Sunday schedule on Thursday beginning at 8 a.m. On Friday, it will run full-length trains all day starting at 6 a.m.Â
