Where To Get Sandbags In Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, CA — With several days of heavy rain in the forecast, the City of Walnut Creek has restocked sandbags and sand at several locations.

If you think that you may need sandbags, get them as soon as possible.

Bring your own shovel, and it's best to have two people get the sandbags since it's easier to fill them if one person holds the bag while the other person shovels in the sand.

Here are the sandbag locations:

• Lancaster Road across from Orchard Lane
• Heather Farm Park Community Center parking lot (North end)
• Larkey Park parking lot
• Howe Homestead Park parking lot
• Rudgear Park parking lot

The City also reminds you to check for leaves and other debris in the gutters of your home and along your street, especially near storm drains. Sweep away leaves to keep them flowing.
