WALNUT CREEK, CA — Before you ask, "Hey, whatever happened to the willow sculpture in Civic Park," here's your answer — the city removed it because it was structurally unsafe.

Called “Sure Enough” by designer Patrick Dougherty, the sculpture was always intended to be a temporary art piece.

It was installed in May 20018 and was supposed to be there for two years. But City staff noticed that it had been damaged and was in danger of collapsing. Faster than you can say "wrecking ball" it was brought down.
