Ygnacio Valley Road Update: Lane 'Closed Until Further Notice'
Crews working feverishly managed to get the road mostly open, but issues persist.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — Most lanes of Ygnacio Valley Road are open in Walnut Creek.
A large tree fell onto the road around 1:30 Wednesday morning, taking power lines and poles with it, forcing the closure of the road in both directions between Civic Drive and Walnut Boulevard through the morning commute.
Originally, the closure was expected to last until at least 4 p.m. However, crews have worked feverishly to clear the mess.
