West Hollywood Debuts Eat and Drink Week

More than 40 restaurants participate in new WeHo Eat & Drink Week including lunch, dinner and late night menus

From October 18 through October 27, West Hollywood is hosting its first East & Drink Week.

WeHo bars and restaurants are featuring special lunch, dinner and late-night menus and drink specials.

Presented by The West Hollywood Travel & Tourism Board, the weeklong event will feature WeHo’s twist on the traditional DineLA format expanding it to feature late night and mixology options.

More than fifty eateries and bars are featured including Katana, Yardbird, Bar 1200, BOA Steakhouse, Connie & Ted’s, Fig & Olive, Koi, La Boheme, Skybar, Tesse and Zinqué among others.

We stopped by Yardbird Southern Table & Bar to sample their menu which includes their signature blackberry bourbon lemonade, watermelon mojito, charred Heirloom Tomato Soup; deviled eggs, fried green tomatoes BLT, hot chicken, Creole spiced salmon and lobster mac & cheese with a whole lobster and a blend of five cheeses. We ended the meal with the decadent deep fried Oreo served with Oreo ice cream, chocolate sauce and Rice Krispie. We also enjoyed their signature blackberry bourbon lemonade with Wild Turkey Bourbon, blackberry puree, lemon, cardamom and Angostura bitters. The special dinner WeHo Eat & Drink menu runs $35.

We also headed to Katana to try out dishes on their special $65 dinner menu. We sampled the seared Albacore sashimi topped with garlic ponzu and crispy onions which was fresh and featured complex flavors and the American Kobe beef. The menu also includes their signature fusion shot, garden salad with pear and almonds; a Robata course with salmon, chicken and American Kobe beef; baked crab and spicy tuna cut rolls and tuna, salmon and yellowtail nigiri. Katana’s menu runs $65.
