The original German Oktoberfest tradition takes place every year in Munich. It’s a cultural extravaganza, and this year, its celebrating it’s 184th anniversary. Now that’s a lot of beer!
When it comes to celebrating the German tradition in the states, Oktoberfest events in Connecticut are famous for paying tribute to the country’s heritage and rich culture, as well as serving up a ton of German food and beer.

2017 Oktoberfests Across Connecticut
Meriden Turner Society Oktoberfest, October 6th
- 800 Old Colony Road, Meriden
- The Meriden Turner Society of Connecticut puts on its annual Oktoberfest celebration. Serving a smoked pork chop dinner with plenty of German beer to wash it down, its guaranteed to be a great time. There will also be performances by the Alpenland Tänzer dancers and music from the Joe Unger band.

Alphenhaus Oktoberfest, October 7th
- 59 Bank Street, New Milford
- The Alphenhaus restaurant in New Milford puts on its Oktoberfest celebration with a full on celebration of the German culture. Beginning at 1:00 PM, there will be live music, plenty of German and craft beers, as well as fun games for the whole family.

Trackside's Oktoberfest Fundraiser, October 14th
- 15 Station Road, Wilton
- Come celebrate Oktoberfest and support a great cause while you do. All proceeds from the event will go to support Wilton's teens. Trackside's Oktoberfest celebration includes delicious German food and traditional Oktoberfest beverages.
