CONNECTICUT — The 11-month wait is over, as Connecticut high school boys basketball teams finally resume game competition beginning Monday after a lengthy layoff due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A panel of sports media members cast its votes on the top teams in the state, and teams from the Central Connecticut Conference captured the first three spots. East Catholic was tabbed first by 17 of 19 voters, followed by Windsor and Northwest Catholic.

Here are the top 10 teams, with first-place votes in parentheses, as well as all other schools garnering votes.
