Connecticut Grocery Stores Open, Closed Christmas 2019

Most stores are closed, but not all. Some stores like CVS and Walgreens are open for limited hours. And some Dunkin' and Starbucks are open.

CONNECTICUT — So no surprise that it's tough to find a store open on Christmas Day for last minute grocery or quick gift shopping. But all hope is not lost in Connecticut.

Most major food and big box stores like Stop & Shop, Big Y, Target, Trader Joe's, Walmart, close early Christmas Eve and be closed throughout Christmas Day, reopening at normal hours on Dec. 26.

But many stores like CVS, Rite-Aid and Walgreens are open for limited hours, though the pharmacy departments may be closed. Still, click on the above links to check your local stores for hours.

And of course open Chinese restaurants are a Christmas staple.

But before heading out, call ahead just in case.
