Coronavirus In Class: In-Person Schooling On The Rise In CT

CONNECTICUT — Coronavirus cases among students and staff in Connecticut schools were on the decline over the past week.

There were 465 identified cases among students and 124 among staff between Feb. 18 and 24.

Teachers, bus drivers and other school staff become eligible next week to receive the coronavirus vaccine. The administration of the rollout is being handled at the district level, Gov. Ned Lamont said during a news conference Thursday.

The state reported an 11 percent increase in the number of public school districts operating predominantly fully in-person as of Feb. 25.
