CT Coronavirus Metrics Take Concerning Turn
It's not a surge of activity, but some of Connecticut's key metrics aren't moving in the right direction.

CONNECTICUT — Connecticut’s coronavirus metrics are slowly trending in the wrong direction, especially when it comes to the positive test rate and hospitalizations. The numbers aren’t a surge, but the creep is something to be concerned about, Gov. Ned Lamont said.
Connecticut’s daily positive test rate hovered around .8 percent the past month. The past week or so it’s increased above 1 percent. There were 220 positive cases out of nearly 14,000 test results Thursday.
One additional death was reported, bringing the states total up to 4,488.

Hospitalizations reached their highest level since early July with 75 total patients. That’s still a far cry from around 2,000 at the state’s peak and leaves plenty of capacity in the hospital system.
