CT Coronavirus Updates: Nearly 500 New Cases Over The Weekend

Hospitalizations dropped after reaching a two-month high last week.

CONNECTICUT — Connecticut reported 497 coronavirus cases from Friday to Sunday out of more than 45,000 tests for a positive test rate of 1.1 percent.

Gov. Ned Lamont said during his Monday news conference that the state seems to have settled into a positive test rate of around 1.1 percent, which is up slightly from the 0.8 percent from a month ago.

Net hospitalizations saw a decrease of nine patients down to 68. Three more coronavirus-related deaths were reported, bringing the state total up to 4,495.
