CT Coronavirus Updates: Positive Test Rate Declines

Connecticut's daily positive test rate dropped slightly and the number of hospitalizations also declined slightly.

CONNECTICUT — Connecticut reported another 157 positive coronavirus cases Thursday out of more than 15,500 tests for a positive test rate of 1 percent. The positive test rate has ebbed and flowed between 1 percent and 1.6 percent the past couple of weeks in Connecticut. The rate is up slightly from the average of 0.8 percent over much of the summer, but still well within the state and federal lower risk metric category.

Coronavirus hospitalizations dropped by one patient down to 72. Two additional coronavirus deaths were reported, which brought the state total up to 4,499.
