CT Coronavirus Updates: School-By-School Cases

The number of coronavirus-related cases involving students declined significantly last week. Here are numbers for every school in CT.

CONNECTICUT — Reported coronavirus cases dropped among students and staff in preK-12 schools this past week, with drop of over 21 percent in both groups.

There were 644 student cases and 190 staff cases between Feb. 3 and 10, significant drops from 819 and 245, respectively.

Where the student or staff member — which includes teachers, custodial staff, clerical, bus transport, food service and administrators — got infected is not tracked in the data. Investigations to date have shown the great majority of students or staff are getting infected in the community outside of the school, according to the state Deartment of Public Health

Around 29 percent of school districts were mostly fully in-person, 27 percent were hybrid and 23 percent were fully remote as of Feb. 10.
