CT Coronavirus: When You Go To The Gym, Expect These Changes
Gov. Ned Lamont signed a new executive order regulating gyms, sports, alcohol permits and more.
CONNECTICUT — When you go to the gym next, be prepared for a couple of new rules that begin Monday.
According to a new order from Gov. Ned Lamont, masks are now required in all gyms and fitness centers, with no exceptions. Additionally, fitness classes were reduced to 25 percent capacity.
The rules are part of the effort to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, which once again is surging in Connecticut. The state just exceeded 100,000 total cases and the infection rate keeps rising, hitting 6 percent over the last week.
