CT Lottery Puts Record Amount Into State's General Fund
More than $400 million has gone into the state coffers from CT Lottery proceeds.

CONNECTICUT — The Connecticut Lottery Corporation contributed a record $418 million to the Connecticut General Fund in the 2021 fiscal year.
The financial year for the CT Lottery runs from July 2020 to June 2021.
In addition, CT Lottery sales outpaced last year, reaching $1.5 billion in total sales, compared to $1.3 billion in fiscal year 2020. The strong sales and general fund transfers represent the best results ever in the Lottery’s history. officials said.

According to a report released Tuesday, the CT Lottery's results were led by steady instant ticket sales, continued growth in Keno sales, and the new Fast Play games, which reached $37 million in total sales in their first year.
The Play3 and Play4 games — following the addition of the new Wild Ball feature — also recorded solid sales.

The CT Lottery continued its support of $2.3 million to the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services Chronic Gamblers Treatment and Rehabilitation Fund, the report shows.
The CT Lottery also sponsored various responsible gambling efforts throughout the year in collaboration with the Partnership members – the CT Council on Problem Gambling and the Problem Gambling Services department at DMHAS, according to the report.
"We are very proud of these results, especially in light of the many adjustments that we encountered during the year," Connecticut Lottery Corporation President Greg Smith said. "Our dedicated staff members remained focused on keeping up with this incredible growth. And our retailers were equally dedicated in operating each day. We are very thankful for their efforts."
