CT Pharmacies Add Teachers, More Locales For Coronavirus Vaccine
Retail pharmacy CVS has added more coronavirus vaccine clinic locations in Connecticut, and has expanded its eligibility criteria.
CONNECTICUT — Retail pharmacy CVS has added more coronavirus vaccine clinic locations in the state, and has expanded its eligibility criteria.
Conforming with Gov. Ned Lamont's prioritizing of school district employees, teachers K-12, daycare and preschool workers, and school staff are now eligible to receive the vaccine at the CVS locations offering it.
To get your jab at a Connecticut CVS, you must live or work in the state, and either be aged 55 or older; a long-term care facility resident or staff member; a first responder/health care worker who is t risk of exposure to COVID-19; or a member of the new school district employee group.

That's the good news. The bad news is that, even with all the expanded capacity and sites being added statewide every day, all available Connecticut CVS vaccine appointments are booked as of 9 a.m. Wednesday, no matter what your job.
Vaccinations for school workers are still being handled at the district level, and Lamont has pledged all teachers will receive the vaccine before the end of the month. For that reason, most teachers will likely stick to the original plan.
