CT Sees Uptick In Positive Coronavirus Test Rate Wednesday
The rate still falls within the lower risk category for state and federal guidelines. Hospitalizations also slightly increased.
CONNECTICUT — Connecticut saw a slight increase in its positive coronavirus test rate up to 1.5 percent Wednesday. There were 155 positive tests out of more than 10,000 results.
Connecticut’s positive test rate has fluctuated between 1.1 and 1.6 percent since Sept. 9. The rates are still among the lowest in the nation and fall into the lower-risk category for both state and federal guidelines.
Coronavirus-related hospitalizations increased by three patients up to a net of 73. One additional coronavirus-related death was reported.

Connecticut is now at 56,315 coronavirus cases and 4,497 deaths since the pandemic began in March.

The biggest single-day increases in case counts by town are:
- Danbury: 24
- Fairfield: 18
- Norwich: 9
- Hartford: 8
- West Hartford: 7
