ACROSS, CONNECTICUT — Connecticut state police are using an explosive new video to highlight the potential dangers of home fireworks displays during the Fourth of July holiday period.

All state police barracks were promoting the video for the long holiday weekend.

"Planning on bringing this holiday weekend in with a bang? Here are some safety tips from the Connecticut State Police, Hartford Hospital and State of Connecticut Fire Prevention & Control Commission to make sure you’re doing it in a safe manner," were the words of Facebook post.
