Woman Breaks TV Crew's Equipment, Attacks Car At Police HQ: VIDEO
NBC Connecticut's Jennifer Joas shared the video on her Facebook page.
CONNECTICUT — An unidentified woman attacked NBC Connecticut reporter Jennifer Joas and her video photographer in the parking lot of the Hartford Police Department early Tuesday, and the shocking incident was captured on video. See below.
According to Joas, the woman walked up to them unprovoked and began smashing their expensive video gear. They filmed the attack through the window of their vehicle before driving off for their safety.
After repeatedly throwing the camera onto the pavement, seemingly damaging it, the woman began to walk away. She then turned back around, picked up and camera and struck the marked news vehicle with it.

"This happened at 4:43 this morning - all while I was sitting right on the other side of that glass," Joas wrote on Facebook. "My photographer & I have no idea why."
Joas and the photographer were in the parking lot reportedly filming a segment on the recent increase in violence in Hartford.

The two immediately called the police, who took 10 minutes to arrive. They provided the department with a copy of the video and screenshots, Joas added. As of Wednesday afternoon, no arrests had been announced.
In her Facebook feed, hundreds of people voiced their outrage at the incident, and offered kind words to Joas, an award-winning television journalist who worked for stations in Pennsylvania and North Dakota before joining the morning crew at NBC Connecticut.
"I’m not much of a sharer about this kind of stuff & hesitated to share this with you, but I want you to know that the past few years have been difficult as journalists," Joas wrote. "We not only have to deal with people being rude and trashing our reputation/business, but also this.
"This is the third time in two months that a person has become agitated for unknown reasons & prevented me from doing my job."
