CT Weather: Odds Increase For Major Snowstorm Early Next Week
The National Weather Service is estimating Connecticut may see 6 inches or more of snow early next week in a long-duration storm.

CONNECTICUT — There is increasing confidence that a major snowstorm will affect Connecticut on Monday and Tuesday of next week, and the National Weather Service is already saying this storm has the potential to drop 6 or more inches of snow.
The weather service, in a hazardous weather outlook, is already sounding the alarm about a potential major snowstorm for Connecticut early next week. This could be our first big winter storm of 2021.
The weather service said in an update Friday afternoon, "There is increasing potential for a significant winter storm/nor`easter late Sunday night into Tuesday. While there is still a fair amount of uncertainty with the storm track and timing, the potential exists for 6 or more inches of snow to occur across the region. Additionally, strong northeast winds, coastal flooding, and beach erosion will be possible."

Before we get to Monday, we will need to deal with some brutally cold weather and strong wind gusts. The wind chills may reach 20 below zero, the weather service cautions.
Monday - Tuesday still looks snowy (although 5 days out in the weather world is an eternity). The odds are already incredibly high for 3"+ of snow this far in advance, up to 70% on the Euro forecast model ensembles. It may be a busy weekend forecasting. #fox61 pic.twitter.com/ssqqZMkwfi
