CT Weather: Snow Accumulation Estimates Released For Thursday
The National Weather Service said "significant snowfall" is expected in Connecticut's next winter storm. Here's how much is forecast.
CONNECTICUT — A winter storm watch has been issued in advance of a winter storm that could dump in excess of six inches of snow on the state.
It appears everyone will receive a "plowable" snow accumulation beginning Thursday afternoon, and it may change to a mix of sleet and freezing rain before ending on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Connecticut saw temperatures rise into the low 50s in parts of the state Tuesday and significant melting occurred. But temperatures will plummet tonight and anything that melts will refreeze, which could lead to some slippery spots.
