CT Weather: Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Snow On Tuesday
The National Weather Service has released snow accumulation estimates for Tuesday and more snow is possible on Thursday and Sunday too.
CONNECTICUT — A winter weather advisory has been issued for most of Connecticut as another few inches of snow accumulation is expected on Tuesday.
The snow is expected to mix with sleet and rain at the coast, which will limit accumulation to an inch or two. No weather advisories have been posted for the Interstate 95 corridor towns.
For inland sections of southern Connecticut an advisory is in effect from 4 a.m. Tuesday until 1 a.m. Wednesday. Total snow accumulations of 2-4 inches.

The snow should begin in the early morning hours and end Tuesday evening, according to Fox 61 chief meteorologist Rachel Frank. Travel during the evening commute could be slippery.
In northern Connecticut, the weather service said most of the snow will fall during the afternoon hours.
Snow starts 5-7 AM Tuesday picks up in intensity a bit 12 pm - 4 pm then ends 5 PM - 7 PM. ( I think this model ends the snow too early). Some mixing possible towards the shore/SE CT though the northern extent of that is still a bit of a question. #fox61 pic.twitter.com/h9LQOCNGeb

A change to rain should keep totals down a bit along the shoreline otherwise most of us pick up another few inches of snow. The forecast next at 4. #nbcct pic.twitter.com/bxnsMpdymW
