CT Weather: Timeline, Details On How Much Snow, Rain Monday
After a couple of dry days, precipitation, including more snow, returns to Connecticut Monday.
CONNECTICUT — Parts of Connecticut may see light snow Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
For the Interstate 95 corridor towns from Greenwich to Stonington, rain is likely, with possibly a few snowflakes mixing in.
Once you move away from the immediate coast, there is a chance for a quick 1-2 inches of snow in inland sections of southern Connecticut, the weather service said.

Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties could see up to 3 inches of snow and Litchfield County could also see some snow.
"Accumulating light snows are expected Monday afternoon into early Monday night," the weather service said, specifically for Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties. "Low visibility and some accumulation on roads may make for difficult travel for the late afternoon commute. As much as 3 inches of snow is possible. Winter Weather Advisories could be needed.”

For Litchfield County, the weather service said “moderate” snow is possible and a winter weather advisory may be issued.
And for southern Connecticut, the precipitation will begin by mid-to-late morning and temperatures should exceed the freezing mark on the coast, which would mean just rain.
"Farther inland, temperatures will be cold enough to support snow or a rain/snow mix," the weather service said concerning interior sections of southern Connecticut. "The best chances
for precipitation to remain all snow will be across Orange, Putnam, and portions of Rockland and northern Fairfield counties. For these locations, 1-2 inches of snow is expected.”
The rain and snow should end Monday evening. Temperatures will rise to the 40s on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday will be cooler before temperatures rise to near 50 degrees.
Maybe spring and better weather are really on its way.
