First Responders Confirm Fatal Drowning In Dayville Lake Tuesday
A person drowned in Alexander Lake late Tuesday morning, Patch confirmed.
DAYVILLE, CT — The South Killingly Fire Department and the Dayville Fire Department have confirmed that there was a fatal drowning at Alexander Lake late Tuesday morning.
The location was at the lower end of the lake, off Sawmill Road.

The drowning was reported to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, spokesperson Will Healey confirmed. The agency was not involved in the response to the scene.
Connecticut State Police Troop D in Danielson troopers were called to “an incident” at the pond at 11:36 a.m., for an "untimely death," a state police spokesperson told Patch early Tuesday afternoon.
