Colson Center President John Stonestreet is the Keynote Speaker for FIC Virtual Banquet on October 2nd
Family Institute of Connecticut has been honored to have a stellar list of speakers keynote our banquets over the years. We are especially excited about this year's speaker.
John Stonestreet serves as President of the Colson Center for Christian Worldview. He’s a sought-after author and speaker on areas of faith and culture, theology, worldview, education and apologetics. John is the daily voice of BreakPoint, the nationally syndicated commentary on the culture founded by the late Chuck Colson. He is also the voice of the Point, a daily one-minute feature on worldview, apologetics and cultural issues. Before coming to the Colson Center in 2010, John served in various leadership capacities with Summit Ministries and was on the biblical studies faculty at Bryan College (TN). John has co-authored four books: A Practical Guide to Culture, Restoring All Things, Same-Sex Marriage, and Making Sense of Your World: A Biblical Worldview. John holds degrees from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (IL) and Bryan College (TN). He and his wife, Sarah, have four children and live in Colorado Springs, CO.

Here in Connecticut, John is probably best-known for the Breakpoint commentaries that are aired on local Christian radio. Or perhaps for the "Culture Friday" talks he gives every week on the must-listen podcast, The World and Everything In It.
For FIC members, the appeal of John Stonestreet is very similar to that of Eric Metaxas, a previous FIC speaker and John's former Breakpoint co-host. There are a plethora of Christian voices in the media these days. There are very few who address the culture head-on, in a way that is both winsome and appealing to believers across denominational lines. John is one of the few and one of the best. Listen to his recent Breakpoint commentaries here and his Focus on the Family appearances here.

Once again, the FIC Banquet will be Friday, October 2nd, from 7 pm to 8 pm. It will be online this year and it is free. The only opportunity to make your donation to FIC will be the appeal at the end of the hour.
