The first vials of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine have arrived in Connecticut.

CONNECTICUT — The first vials of the long-awaited, single-dose Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine have arrived in Connecticut.

On Wednesday morning, Hartford HealthCare received 7,400 doses and Trinity Health Of New England received 1,000 doses for the Saint Francis Hospital pharmacy.

"We are excited another vaccine has received the necessary FDA Emergency Use Authorization, because it adds one more tool in our armamentarium in defeating this virus and ending pandemic," said Dr. Syed Hussain, Trinity's chief clinical officer. An armamentarium is a colletion of resources.
