New Leader Tops Connecticut High School Girls Basketball Poll
For the first time in nearly 14 months, Notre Dame-Fairfield has fallen out of the No. 1 spot in the weekly poll.

CONNECTICUT — It has been 58 weeks since a team other than Notre Dame-Fairfield has topped the Connecticut high school girls basketball poll of coaches and media members. However, a loss last week in a game played by its freshman team due to suspension of the entire varsity squad dropped the Lancers into second place, as Norwich Free Academy assumed the top spot.
The Wildcats collected nine first-place votes to six for Notre Dame. Ridgefield had the other two top votes.
Here are the top 10, with last week's ranking in parentheses, as well as all other teams garnering votes.
