CONNECTICUT — Connecticut reported another 417 coronavirus results from Friday to Monday out of more than 49,000 test results for a positive test rate of 0.85 percent.

Hospitalizations dropped by eight patients down to 50. There were six coronavirus-related deaths over the holiday weekend.

Around 43,000 tests have been performed at college campuses in the past few weeks and around 166 cases were identified, Gov. Ned Lamont said. That is a positive test rate below 0.5 percent. Still Lamont said he is worried about spread at residential colleges after seeing large outbreaks at universities in Alabama and North Carolina.

The state Department of Public Health has put out a report that lists town-by-town coronavirus cases weekly along with the positive test rate. Below are the results from the most recent reporting date:

Check out the map here. A person is only considered a new case when they first test positive for the virus, according to the state Department of Public Health. If they subsequently test positive again, it counts toward the town's positive test rate in that week, but not toward the new case count.
