Records Fall At State Open Track And Field Meet

NEW BRITAIN, CT — Six state records fell in one day Thursday at the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) State Open track and field meet at Willow Brook Park.

Conard junior Gavin Sherry set two new standards in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs, becoming the first runner to break 9 minutes in the 3200 at the Open. New marks were set in the girls 300 meter hurdles and javelin, as well as the boys 800 meters and discus.
