CT Weather: Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Accumulating Snow
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for most of Connecticut. Here's how much snow is forecast to accumulate.
CONNECTICUT — The initial belief was that Connecticut would see just a little snow on Tuesday but that has escalated a bit as most of the state is now under a winter weather advisory for Tuesday afternoon and early Wednesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for all of southern Connecticut from 7 a.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Mixed precipitation is expected with total snow accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze.
A winter weather advisory has been issued for Hartford County from 1 p.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. Wednesday. Snow could accumulate 2-3 inches here.

A winter weather advisory has also been issued for Litchfield County as 1-4 inches of snow is expected. The advisory is from noon Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday. "Some sleet or freezing rain could mix in at times Tuesday evening, especially close to Interstate 84," the weather service said.
A hazardous weather outlook remains in effect for Tolland and Windham counties where an inch or two of snow is possible.

And then more cold weather moves in at the end of the week with daytime high temperatures on Friday and Saturday below the freezing mark. Connecticut may not being receiving a lot of snow thus far in 2021, but it is feeling like winter with some cold temperatures lately.
