“Serving the most vulnerable and marginalized in our communities is a mission for us, and a core value of what we do every day at Trinity Health Of New England hospitals,” says Dr. Reggy Eadie, President and CEO of Trinity Health Of New England. “Working in partnership with our state and federal colleagues to bring this vaccine into these targeted locations is just one more way of bringing an end to this pandemic.”

The FEMA mobile vaccine unit is traveling throughout Connecticut for 60 days, stopping in 17 communities. Locations are based on the Center of Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Social Vulnerability Index, the U.S. Census Bureau’s Community Resilience Estimates, low vaccine coverage, metrics and other barriers to vaccine access. Trinity Health Of New England is working to staff and support clinics at 12 different locations throughout Hartford, Waterbury, Meriden and Danbury, from April 16 - 27. Connecticut National Guard and municipal partners are providing non-clinical staffing.
