Woman Killed In Head-On Crash With Ambulance In Franklin: Police
A woman was killed and both occupants of the ambulance were hospitalized after the crash, according to Connecticut State Police.
FRANKLIN, CT — A Willimantic woman was killed in a head-on crash with an ambulance late Thursday night in Franklin, according to Connecticut State Police.
The crash happened just before 11 p.m. on Route 32 near the intersection of Pleasure Hill Road. An ambulance was traveling north in the area while a Toyota Camry was heading south in the same area.
The ambulance and the Camry collided head-on in the northbound travel lane, according to police.

Police said the driver of the Camry, identified as 49-year-old Dawn Brett, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was the vehicle’s lone occupant, according to police.
The driver of the ambulance and front-seat passenger were hospitalized with minor injuries, according to police.
