Area Players Chosen For High School Baseball All-Star Games

A total of 29 players from Patch towns in the region will participate in the 45th annual CHSCA all-star games next week.

PLAINVILLE, CT — Three all-star games featuring some of the top high school baseball players in Connecticut will be played next week, featuring 29 athletes from Patch towns in Hartford and Tolland counties.

The 45th annual Connecticut High School Coaches Association senior all-star games are slated for Tuesday, June 12 at Plainville High School. District III takes on District IV at 4:30 p.m., followed by District I vs. District II at 7:15 p.m. Each squad contains 18 senior players from throughout the state.

  • Bulkeley - Jason Bonilla
  • Granby Memorial - Kyle Desjardins, Nate Orluk
  • Hartford Public - Luis Zayas
  • Newington - Joey Zawisza

  • Wethersfield - Tyler Fote

District IV

On Wednesday, June 13, the Junior Select all-star game takes place, also at Plainville High School, at 6:15 p.m. Players from the region include:

Blue Team

On Saturday, June 23, the Connecticut Junior Select All-Star team will play the best from Massachusetts at Muzzy Field in Bristol at 12:30 p.m. The best 18 players from the June 13 game, chosen by a committee of coaches, will represent Connecticut.
