Berlin 2019 Local Elections: Candidates, Polling Places, Hours
Here's what you need to know concerning the 2019 Berlin local elections including the candidates, polling places, voting hours and more.

BERLIN, CT — Voters will head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5 to vote in Berlin’s municipal election. There are numerous positions up for grabs including the position of mayor, town council, boards of education, finance, zoning and police commission.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters who are in line before 8 p.m. will be able to vote even after the deadline passes. You can find your poll location at the Secretary of the State website by inputting your information.
The candidates for Mayor are: Karen Pagliaro, a Democrat, versus Mark Kaczynski, a Republican.
The candidates for Town Council are: Democrats, Peter Rosso, JoAnn Angelico-Stetson and Mike Urrunaga, and Republicans, Charles Paonessa, Donna Veach, and Brenden Luddy. Residents will vote for any six candidates.

The candidates for Board of Finance are: Democrats, John Richards and Mike Holmes, and Republican Tim Grady. Residents will vote for any three candidates.
The candidates for Board of Assessment Appeals are: Democrats, Christine Fairwood and Andrew Legnani, and Republican Paul Argazz. Residents will vote for any two candidates.

For the Police Commission the candidates are: Democrats, John O’Brien and Ryan Zelek, and Republicans, Steven K. Wilson and David Rogan.
Candidates for the non-partisan Board of Education are: Jaymee R. Miller and Matthew T. Tencza.
Connecticut offers Election Day registration, but those who arrive need to be registered by 8 p.m. in order to vote. Unlike previously registered voters standing in line before 8 p.m. to register won't guarantee the ability to vote.
Absentee ballots are also available for those who won't be in town all of election day or for a multitude of other reasons. Voters can also register online prior to the election.
