Berlin Developer Responds To Sexual Harassment Allegations

A Berlin developer is denying a former town planner's allegations of sexual harassment.

BERLIN, CT - Developer Thomas Coccomo, who was accused in a lawsuit filed by a former town planner, has denied allegations of sexual harassment, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. Former town planner Hellyn Riggins has claimed that Coccomo repeatedly made false accusations in email, letters and conversation that she was sexually involved with other town employees.

Riggins said the town failed to respond to her complaints and has taken the matter to federal court.

Coccomo told the Record-Journal that he has never sexually harassed anyone at town hall.

He confirmed that he had sent communications about Riggins being sexually involved with town employees. He claimed that his intent was to prove that he was the victim of selectively enforced zoning regulations.
